The Formula-K project was started in 2009, but we will have its track debut in 2010. The idea came to four people (in strict alphabetical order): Nunzio Annovi, Andrea Bertolini, Pietro Corradini and Roberto Ninzoli. Enthusiasts and motor sport professionals that want to win with Formula K, but above all see this new project become a karting talent school. Sounds like somebody is doing something right.  That somebody is Florida Winter Tour.  Just last year they had reinvented live karting results on the web with added on-track video and live messengering.  This year it just looks so pro!

The race is the last round of the 2009 Open Masters which was held last September in Castelletto di Branduzzo, in the province of Pavia. Massimo Aceto (Righetti Ridolfi driver confirmed for 2010) has just arrived at his new team. Non the less, he finishes the final of the KZ2 category in second place at the wheel of his Gold Kart. Or at least that is what everyone believes..So, Giampaolo Righetti, in that Open Masters race, was the kart a Gold Kart or not? No, the chassis underneath was an Allkart.

Okay so last week you could say I had one of the sweetest trips to Italy. Got to check out the Maranello, CRG, Maxter, Tony Kart factories as well as get to tune at the Rok Cup at South Garda. Okay this is so cool. Japan has done this a couple of times at their National Championship Max Festival. All the drivers compete in a RPS contest and the last person standing wins a brand new engine. Man, I want to play!! That is just too cool. Here are some photos of it.

Our sources have just mentioned that Rotax Max Jr may return to the Mojo D1 tire for the World Finals and the 2010 season.

Reason: To slow down the Jr’s laptimes, so the Sr’s can stop crying about being slower then the Jr’s.

I blame the 2009 Jr cylinders….

Hopefully we can get more info on this.
