I have heard from a few sources that a new product called Master Damper will be approved by USRMC for use instead of the traditional tape. It is a pretty cool system and is available in mechanical where you have to reach over and open the shutters yourself (my favorite) or the lazy man with a bicycle gear shifter that opens it up for you with a couple clicks. The New K-MX1 kart suit has arrived and all I can say from my personal opinion is this suit is sick. Best Looking kart suit alpinestars has designed ever. Best part is its under the $350.00 mark which is a great value. More pics below.
I thought it was pretty cool to see one of Canada’s top drivers get to carry the Olympic torch and partake in the opening ceremonies carrying the flag. Having carried the torch myself a couple days ago I know what a huge honor that is and how exciting it was.
Villeneuve once upon a time was World Champion and he was the man to beat. At one point he was untouchable. He is still one of my favorite drivers even though he may not be a fan forite.
Okay so today is Valentines and Karttechnik wants to know if you are at the track racing or with your girl on Valentines. Now if you are one of those lucky guys that has a girlfriend who races, well I give you a Captain Morgan salute.

Day 2 is almost coming to an end. The morning started off with a quick drivers meeting and then the 2009 Lottery kicked off with the Juniors.
Once everyone got there chassis all the teams were off to assemble the chassis and get them ready for tomorrow morning. It is always an amazing view to see 216 chassis that are brand new sitting outfront on the track.
I estimate that is about $1.5 million to 1.7 million US retail value worth of karts and motors. Very cool.
